Is it professional-looking, or does it look amateurish?

The video on the New York Times looks very professional. They all our shot well with text that is incorporated with it that gives a description of what the video is about. 

Are the videos longer than an average television news report (1-2 minutes), or shorter?

Some of the videos are longer than an average television news report. More of the feature pieces tend to be longer. They have some recipe videos which are over four minutes while other stories are 1-2 minutes. 

Are the subjects interesting?

The subjects are interesting not all of them but some of them I did find an interest in. They had a video of a couples vows which I was interested in. They also have a lot of videos on recipes and I love food so those videos interest me.
